Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair high-voltage transmission systems including conduits, cables, and wires while working from helicopters, poles, or truck-mounted buckets. Clip, dead-end, and string wire conductors between poles and towers, perform mid-span operations, and cut out or press mid-span sleeves with related equipment. Inspect power lines to identify problems and test for electricity using specialized equipment. Adhere to safety practices, DOT regulations, and OSHA standards while directing and teaching laborers, apprentices, and groundmen. Requires Class A CDL, Union Journeyman Lineman ticket, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Hourly wages based on the Local Union with IBEW benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL
- Union Journeyman Lineman ticket
- Ability to work long hours and move/lift at least 50 lbs
- Compliance with OSHA and other Federal, State, and local safety regulations
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities to work in the capacity of Power Lines without direct supervision
- Ability to supervise subordinate line workers
- Pass pre-employment and other drug screening requirements
- Travel required for position
