Job Summary
Truly hands-on role performing tree trimming and maintenance with a bucket truck or equivalent equipment. Responsibilities include trimming and removing trees, clearing debris from around utility lines, assisting the General Foreperson with daily prep, maintaining tools and equipment, applying safe practices, and supporting storm-restoration work as needed. Requires knowledge of knots, ropes, and rigging; ability to identify tree species; awareness of electrical hazards and aerial techniques; ability to work at heights under varied weather; first-aid and CPR certification; and willingness to travel as required. Emphasizes safety, teamwork, and ongoing skill improvement; includes background check and drug screening, I-9/E-Verify compliance, and participation in AI-assisted processes as applicable. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or education equivalent preferred
- Must possess physical strength and agility
- Must be able to obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR
- Must be able to travel out of town for storm restoration work when needed
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
- Must be able to wear PPE
- Must be able to identify tree species
- Must be able to work at heights and in adverse weather conditions
- Must be able to observe electrical hazards and safe operating procedures around conductors
