Job Summary
The role involves climbing, pruning, and removing trees as part of vegetation management, with responsibilities to follow safety practices, load/unload logs and debris, operate hand tools and gas-powered saws, inspect equipment, and enforce site safety. Requires knot- and rope-work proficiency, rope-and-saddle aerial climbing, emergency rescue and first aid capabilities, awareness of electrical hazards, comfort working at heights, ability to travel for storm restoration, and compliance with background checks, drug screening, I-9, and E-Verify. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or education equivalent preferred
- Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of knots, ropes, and rigging devices
- Must be able to climb and descend trees using rope and safety saddle
- Must be able to administer emergency rescue techniques including tree rescue and first aid
- Must be familiar with electrical hazards and operating procedures near electrical conductors
- Must be able to work at heights under varying and adverse weather conditions
- Must possess physical strength and agility, balance, depth perception, and ability to hear verbal instructions
- Must obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR
- Must wear PPE
- Must be able to travel for storm restoration work
- Pass background check and drug screen
- I-9 compliance and E-Verify participation
