Job Summary
Set utility poles and anchors; install, transfer, hang, lash, and maintain aerial telecommunications cable. Operate bucket trucks, aerial lifts, post-hole diggers, and other construction equipment to perform cable placement and pulling in conduit systems and open excavations. Supervise crew members, maintain assigned vehicles and equipment, and complete project invoicing while troubleshooting field issues and reading blueprints. This role requires climbing utility poles and working at heights in varying weather conditions, with a valid Class A CDL and prior management experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Previous management or crew leadership experience
- Experience working from blueprints, specifications, and field prints
- Knowledge of aerial and underground telecommunications construction
- Proficient in using email for communication and documentation
- Ability to upload and manage photos using mobile applications
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs-100lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors, in all weather conditions, in confined spaces, at heights, in live traffic zones
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment, which includes a background check, drug screen, MVR, physical
