Job Summary
Provide advanced life support and medical care in prehospital and interfacility settings as an AEMT. Deliver ALS care including airway management, IV therapy, and medication administration per protocols; perform defibrillation, pacing, and CPR; monitor and stabilize patients during transport; document assessments, treatments, vital signs, and scene observations; communicate with physicians, nurses, dispatch, and hospital staff; operate emergency vehicles safely and maintain equipment and supplies; participate in quality improvement and ongoing training; adhere to HIPAA and professional standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of experience as an EMT OR equivalent education/training/experience
- Completion of an accredited AEMT program
- Valid Driver’s License (must meet agency requirements)
- South Carolina AEMT Certification (or equivalent)
- BLS Certification
