Job Summary
Administrative role supporting a DEP manager, acting as liaison with stakeholders, coordinating public meetings, managing projects and reports, maintaining databases (NJEMS and contracts), overseeing interviews/hiring processes, and developing standard operating procedures for the Division; requires strong knowledge of administrative processes, budget and HR needs, and capacity to work cooperatively with staff and the public.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years of professional experience performing complex administrative support work which must have included the interpretation, verification and/or application of department/agency rules, regulations, policies and procedures
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; and one (1) year of the above-mentioned professional experience
- Professional experience refers to analytical, evaluative, and interpretive work with authority to act and make informed decisions
- Driver's license valid in New Jersey is required if operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties
- All U.S. degrees and transcripts must be from an accredited college or university; foreign degrees must be evaluated for accreditation by a recognized evaluation service by the closing date
Desired Qualifications

- Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; and one (1) year of the above-mentioned professional experience
- Telework (teleworking option described in benefits)
- Experience coordinating public meetings, managing projects, running reports, maintaining databases (NJEMS and contracts)
- Experience conducting interviews, hiring and departure procedures
- Ability to write and implement standard operating procedures for a division
- Ability to represent the division for budgetary and human resources needs
- Understanding of public sector administrative processes and records management

- Residency requirement: establish principal residence in New Jersey within one year of employment per New Jersey First Act
