Job Summary
Operates and supervises helicopter EMS transport missions in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Air Evac EMS Operations Manual, and state/municipal regulations. Ensures aircraft operations are conducted safely and efficiently under Rotorcraft Flight Manual guidance, monitors weather, conducts preflight inspections and documents discrepancies, and maintains readiness for duty across a 24-hour, 7/7 schedule. Requires substantial helicopter flight experience including PIC and turbine hours, holds rotorcraft commercial certificate and instrument rating, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Base housing provided; geographic modifiers may apply by location. Multiple VFR positions available across locations; applies to open location of your choosing.
Required Qualifications
- 2000 hours total flight time
- 1500 hours helicopter time
- 1000 hours helicopter pilot in command
- 500 hours turbine
- 100 hours night unaided, or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided
- Rotorcraft-Helicopter Commercial Certificate
- Rotorcraft-Helicopter Instrument Rating
- High school diploma or equivalent
