Job Summary
Operate the company rotorcraft in emergency medical transport, ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Air Evac Operations Manual, and state and municipal rules. Conduct preflight inspections, monitor weather and forecast changes, and maintain flight readiness; report to shift rested and prepared for duty. Demonstrates safety-first operations with emphasis on rotorcraft flight manual adherence, efficient and safe flight operations, and timely transport of patients. Strong emphasis on flight planning, weather evaluation, and coordination with maintenance for discrepancies; requires substantial flight hours and helicopter experience. Position supports a 7/7 schedule and includes 24-hour base housing; starting salary, sign-on bonus, retention bonus, and geographic modifiers are part of the compensation package.
Required Qualifications
- Rotorcraft-Helicopter Commercial Certificate
- Rotorcraft-Helicopter Instrument Rating
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2000 hours total flight time
- 1500 hours helicopter time
- 1000 hours helicopter pilot in command
- 500 hours turbine
- 100 hours night unaided, or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided
