Job Summary
Operate and supervise EMS rotorcraft flights in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Air Evac EMS Operations Manual, and state regulations. Fly the aircraft safely and efficiently with emphasis on rotorcraft procedures, monitor weather, conduct preflight inspections using the rotorcraft flight manual, report to shift rested and ready, and maintain accurate logs. Requires extensive flight hours and rotorcraft certifications; includes sign-on and retention bonuses, on-duty housing, and a 7/7 schedule at most locations. Required Qualifications
- 2000 hours total flight time
- 1500 hours helicopter time
- 1000 hours helicopter pilot in command
- 500 hours turbine
- 100 hours night unaided, or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided
- Rotorcraft-Helicopter Commercial Certificate
- Rotorcraft-Helicopter Instrument Rating
- High school diploma or equivalent
