Job Summary
Ayres is seeking an AEC Recruiter / Relationship Builder to join our Human Resources team. The role focuses on building connections, representing Ayres authentically, managing full-cycle recruiting, partnering across divisions, engaging talent pools, university career fairs, and delivering a personalized candidate experience. Responsibilities include drafting postings, reviewing applications, interviewing, extending offers, onboarding support, EEO compliance, liaising with external recruiters, traveling to recruiting events, and managing multiple requisitions with a strategic, high-touch approach. Required experience includes 5+ years in full-cycle recruiting, ATS/HRIS proficiency, strong stakeholder relationships, willingness to travel, a bachelor's degree in HR or related field (PHR/SPHR a plus), plus skills in social media recruiting, employment-law awareness, confidentiality, and negotiation.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a corporate environment; recruiting in the AEC industry is desired
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and the MS Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requisitions across disciplines and locations while providing high-touch service to hiring managers
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with candidates, colleagues, leaders, and HR partners
- Willingness and ability to routinely travel
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field; PHR or SPHR certification is a plus
- Confident, clear communicator with a calm, positive, and professional presence
- Experience leveraging social media for recruiting and employer branding
- Strong negotiation skills and satisfaction in closing offers
- Working knowledge of employment laws and recruiting-related compliance requirements
- Proven ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
