Job Summary
Part-time Advocate positions available for working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or challenging behaviors. Responsibilities include initiating, organizing, planning, and implementing advocacy services based on a strength-based approach. Candidates must possess strong communication and organizational skills, be able to work independently, and have reliable transportation. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, with some evening and weekend availability required. Prior experience in community work and familiarity with community resources is an advantage.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be extremely organized
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be professional, flexible, and have the ability to work independently
- Must be available evenings and weekends
- Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources
- Proficient in basic computer skills and Microsoft Office
- Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current automobile insurance coverage
Desired Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish Speaking)
- Experience using an electronic health record (EHR)
