Job Summary
The Advocate position involves serving as a mentor, supporter, and resource for youth and their families, assisting them in navigating challenges across community, school, and home environments. Responsibilities include initiating, organizing, planning, developing, and implementing direct advocacy services, while utilizing a strength-based approach using the wrap around model. Candidates must be reliable, committed individuals who can inspire and guide youth, with prior experience working in similar settings preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Prior experience working with youth and families in community, school, and home settings is preferred
- Reliable transportation, current driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage
Desired Qualifications
- Associates or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Education or related
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to engage effectively with youth, families, and professionals
- Basic computer skills
- Experience working in an Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Bi-Lingual/Spanish speaking
