Advocate Support - Overnights: Monday-Friday from 11pm-7am

Job Summary
Answer crisis line calls to provide safety planning, crisis intervention, and intake services while supporting day-to-day shelter operations to ensure a clean, welcoming, and secure environment. Deliver direct services including referrals, emergency assistance, and advocacy, and maintain detailed documentation of client interactions. Manage meal preparation, transportation, and guest activity monitoring as needed, remaining available to respond to emergencies and occasional additional shifts. This role supports survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking within The Spring's faith-based crisis shelter program.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to sign The Spring's Statement of Faith
- A valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass a 7-year background check
- Experience in domestic violence or sexual assault field, volunteer experience, or related experience is suggested
- Experience working with diverse people and groups
- Knowledge of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and trauma-informed practices
- Ability to build professional relationships with guests and their children
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to respond appropriately to emergencies
- Ability to effectively manage conflict
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
