Job Summary

Partner with senior staff to develop and execute strategies for nation-leading state campaigns, federal advocacy before Congress and agencies, and national communications. Meet regularly with policymakers and agency staff at state and federal levels to influence policy outcomes and cultivate champions for pollinator protection. Build relationships with diverse partner organizations and coalitions to mobilize collective power against harmful pesticide use. Speak in public forums, including testifying at legislative hearings and engaging media outlets. Develop deep scientific and regulatory expertise to communicate findings through factsheets, reports, petitions, technical comments, blogs, and op-eds. Create innovative solutions to emerging problems in the field. This limited-term 2-year position requires 8 days per month in the office and occasional travel.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Advocacy/organizing/political experience (e.g., lobbying, campaign, or coalition-building experience; work experience with a federal, state, or local official)
  • Policy/administrative/technical experience (e.g., policy development, work experience with a federal or state agency, or relevant subject matter expertise)
  • Legal experience (e.g., legal research, case-building)
  • Ability to travel as needed to support our advocacy and campaign work
  • Commitment to NRDC's mission, values, and DEI principles
  • Ability to come to the office 8 days per month
