Job Summary
Provide individual direct support, group and family counseling, and case management to clients in co-location sites and shelters. Responsible for crisis intervention, developing service plans with clients, coordinating with social services, mental health, housing, and legal/law enforcement entities; maintain timely documentation; participate in staff orientation and trainings; conduct quarterly file reviews, and provide follow-up after program exit. Requires strong verbal/written communication, ability to work with diverse populations, and capacity to travel locally. Position may require evenings, weekends, and holidays; fluency in Spanish may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree preferred
- Associate’s degree with 3+ years applicable experience
- 40-hour domestic violence training
- Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional (ICDVP) within 1 year
- CPR/First Aid certification within 6 months
- Available to work overnights, weekends and holidays
- Bi-lingual Spanish may be required
- Must be able to travel locally and regionally
