Job Summary
Missions Inc. is seeking a Resident Advocate for on-call/weekend shifts to provide support in a residential program for individuals recovering from chronic addiction. Responsibilities include monitoring resident activities, conducting drug screenings, and ensuring a safe environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with chronic chemical dependency, homelessness and poverty.
- Prior experience working in a residential program required.
- Experience mediating problems using de-escalation techniques.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 35 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and climb flights of stairs.
- Must be able to walk one quarter mile performing rounds hourly.
