Job Summary
Provide onsite crisis response at local hospitals, law enforcement stations, and community settings in Bexar and Medina Counties, arriving within one hour of request. Deliver ongoing advocacy and case management including safety planning, accompaniment to police interviews and court proceedings, assistance with Crime Victims' Compensation, and guidance accessing programs. Offer trauma-informed crisis intervention, assessment, and follow-up care for clients expressing suicidal ideation or threats of harm. Complete agency intake processes, maintain accurate client records, monitor caseloads, and conduct follow-ups. Adhere to HIPAA regulations, mandatory reporting responsibilities, and professional ethics while pursuing continuing education. Participate in staff and team meetings. Work a mandatory 24/7 shift rotation including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
Required Qualifications

- Commitment to supporting and empowering survivors of sexual violence and working to build a safe and healthy community is required.
- Must have reliable transportation, as travel is required to serve clients at partner locations and attend training in the community.
- All RCC staff members must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in human/social services field from an accredited college or university strongly preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and work experience will also be considered.
- Experience working with survivors of trauma is preferred.
- Knowledge of community resources in San Antonio and Bexar County is preferred.
- Understanding of the dynamics of sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking is preferred.
- Demonstrated competence in working with people of all races, national origins, gender identities, sexual orientations, and abilities.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with supervisor, coworkers, and other members of our community's sexual assault response team.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, proficiency with email, and familiarity with database systems and video conferencing platforms.
