Job Summary

Provide individual, family, and group counseling alongside case management and advocacy for overaged and under-credit students. Deliver crisis intervention as needed and conduct family outreach to alleviate stressors and support graduation requirements. Develop strategic goal planning, implement responsive workshops, and assist students in attending school through home visits, outreach calls, and resource connection. Support post-secondary planning, including financial aid, personal essays, and college or vocational training trips, while collaborating with DOE and GSS team members. Generate data for statistical reports and ensure accurate paperwork and database entry. Work 35 hours weekly from September through June, with summer hours from July to August.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree
  • experience working with adolescent/young adults individually and in groups
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • commitment to work from a strength based and/or youth development perspective
  • Must be able to work 35 Hours/Week
  • Must be available for September 1 to June 30 12:30 to 8:30, July 1 to August 31 8AM to 4PM

Desired Qualifications

  • Bi-lingual Spanish/English
  • Prior experience in a school setting
