Job Summary
Initiate, organize, plan, develop, and implement direct advocacy services to assigned youth and their families using a strength-based wrap-around model. Travel throughout Portland and Multnomah County to homes, schools, and community settings to provide support, guidance, and access to necessary resources. Serve as a positive role model for young individuals and their families while ensuring they have opportunities for personal growth and development. This part-time, hourly role offers flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends, with weekly pay, mileage reimbursement, and activity costs covered. Applicants must be bilingual in Spanish and possess experience working with at-risk youth and community resources. Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. partners with child welfare, juvenile justice, and behavioral health systems to provide alternatives to institutional placement.
Required Qualifications
- Bi-Lingual/Spanish Speaking
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working with at-risk youth and families
- Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be Bilingual (Spanish Speaking)
- Flexible Schedule (Non-Traditional Hours - Evenings and Weekends may be required)
- Travel throughout the coverage area to homes, schools, and in the community
- Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage
