Job Summary
Advocacy and Recruitment Specialist responsible for establishing partnerships with rare and chronic disease advocacy groups, identifying patients and caregivers for story-sharing opportunities, and contributing content to our online media platform. Serves as the first point of contact for patient leads, requiring excellent listening and communication, empathy, and professional boundaries. Must handle HIPAA/privacy requirements and maintain confidential health information. Key duties include lead identification and outreach to advocacy groups, development of patient relationships, data tracking and reporting in Salesforce, prescreening of prospective patients, and collaboration across departments to improve recruitment processes. Remote-enabled role with strong ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment. Strong writing, online media, and content creation skills are essential to support recruitment and engagement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelore29s degree from a four-year college or university
- Five to seven years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Valid drivere29s license (passport may be necessary)
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external contributors
- Working knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, X, Pinterest)
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Canva, Adobe, Shutterstock
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to listen empathetically and communicate with managers, clients, patients, caregivers and the public
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Fluency in a foreign language is a plus
- Detail-oriented with time-management skills
- Ability to anticipate hurdles and allocate resources effectively
