Job Summary
Advocacy Practice Manager role leading and supervising advocacy staff across multiple Queensland offices, with second-in-command responsibilities to the Advocacy Director. Focus on people leadership, professional supervision, practice oversight, and high-quality, safe, ethical advocacy services. Manage wellbeing and resilience, supervise workloads, mentor staff, and maintain a small caseload of complex matters to model best-practice advocacy. Requires experience in advocacy-based, rights-focused practice within community, disability, mental health, or related social-justice settings; strong alignment with trauma-informed, person-centred, and human rights-based approaches. Based in Ipswich or Toowoomba with regular travel to other offices; some regional overnight travel. This is a full-time role with salary offered at L7+ of the SCHADS Award, plus above-Award benefits including paid leave and development support.
