Advisory Supervisor

Job Summary
Delegate tasks, provide guidance, and conduct performance evaluations for staff while directly managing client accounting and advisory engagements. Plan, coordinate, and supervise engagement phases, prepare or review financial statements and management reports, and identify operational improvements or risks. Foster an efficient, team-oriented environment by using technology to enhance service delivery and presenting results to client leadership. Manage overtime, collaborate on engagement strategies, and represent the firm at professional and civic events. Actively work toward passing the CPA exam and obtaining relevant certifications.
Required Qualifications
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting, and/or an undergraduate or graduate degree with sufficient coursework to qualify to become licensed as a CPA
- Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, time management, and research skills
- Demonstrated a strong level of technical knowledge in accounting principles and practical application for clients
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines
- A strong dedication to teamwork, leadership, and client service
- Proven ability to effectively supervise, train, and develop staff and senior levels
- Integrity within the professional environment
- Ability to adapt to work schedule and job requirements, including some travel and hours beyond the standard workday as needed
- Reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Government and non-profit experience preferred
- CPA preferred, other relevant certifications (e.g., CGFM, CFE, CITP) encouraged
- Active work towards passing the CPA exam and/or obtaining other relevant professional certifications (e.g., CGFM, CFE, CITP) as appropriate
