Advisory Ship Control Systems Analyst

Job Summary
Provide subject matter expertise for the Surface Ship Sustainment, Ship Control System Program, analyzing financial documents, ship availability schedules, and key milestones to discern discrepancies and interpret data. Compile information from multiple sources to draw a complete financial picture of allocation, cost expenditures, and spend plans while ensuring customer requirements and objectives are met. Lead a team of engineers and analysts to develop technical and managerial direction for problem definition, analysis, and implementation of Ship Control Systems, making recommendations on system development, improvements, and optimization for future fielded systems. Maintain overall program and contract management, communicating across multi-function organizations to keep leadership informed of key issues impacting the project. Report to the customer site at the Washington Navy Yard as needed, sometimes on short notice, while maintaining a Secret clearance and utilizing Microsoft Office tools including Power BI and SharePoint.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- active U.S. Dept. of Defense Secret clearance
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5-7 years of experience, including 5 years of government support
- Work equivalent of 5 additional years of professional experience
- Fluent in use of MS Office Tools, including Outlook and Sharepoint
- Knowledge of ship/bridge systems, procedures, and operations
- Must be able to obtain / maintain access to: NDE
- Must be able to obtain / maintain access to: Afloat Master Planning System
- Must be able to obtain / maintain access to: Navy Modernization. NET
- Must be able to obtain / maintain access to: NEPS for PARM /Funding for PMS 443
- Must be able to obtain / maintain access to: ISEE
- Must be able to obtain / maintain access to: PMS 443
- Must be able to obtain / maintain access to: NSWCPD SCS
- Must be able to obtain / maintain access to: ADVANA/ JUPITER/ FOUNDRY
- Must be able to obtain / maintain access to: Flankspeed SharePoint
- Must be within a commutable distance and be able to report to the customer site at the Washington Navy Yard as needed, and sometimes on short notice
