Job Summary
Advisory Product Specialist (Vice President) at HSBC, based in Mumbai, leads GSS distribution capabilities for Infrastructure Finance within the LAF Syndicate. Responsible for lead deal syndication and distribution across HIF product lines in India, supporting origination colleagues to identify and structure investment opportunities, performing relative value and liquidity analyses, producing marketing materials, managing due diligence and data rooms, and handling end-to-end loan syndication across INR and ECB facilities. Develop India-specific distribution approaches, maintain relationships with co-investors and syndication partners, and collaborate with internal distribution teams to broaden investor coverage. Requires 8-10 years of relevant syndicated loans/credit markets experience, minimum graduation, strong product knowledge in infrastructure project finance, investor network, regulatory understanding, superior communication and stakeholder-management skills, English and Hindi proficiency, and advanced MS Office skills.
Required Qualifications
- 8-10 years of relevant work experience in India across syndicated loans, credit capital markets or private credit (infrastructure focus)
- Minimum Graduation
- Demonstrated track record in pricing transactions, managing end-to-end loan syndication and executing lending transactions
- Strong product knowledge and execution expertise in infrastructure project finance particularly in renewables, transition, and related assets
- Infrastructure debt advisory and capital structure investing experience advantageous
- Established investor network in India and offshore
- Solid understanding of onshore lending and ECB regulatory frameworks
- Strong understanding of financial, credit, macro-economic data analysis, valuation, and market research for investment decisions and deal structuring
- Solid understanding of lending documentation with a focus on project finance
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and stakeholder management
- Team-oriented, resilient, and able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Business proficiency in English (written and spoken) and Hindi (spoken)
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office
- Familiarity with AI-enabled tools is an advantage
