Job Summary
Advisory Manager – Technology, Strategy & Transformation in Deloitte New Zealand. Lead advisory engagements for clients across industries, designing technology strategies aligned to business outcomes, operating models for technology and transformation functions, requirements gathering and options analysis for new capabilities, and technology procurement and vendor evaluations. Responsible for enterprise architecture advisory, transformation programmes, governance, and value realisation, while partnering with senior leadership to influence priorities and deliver practical recommendations. Role emphasizes problem solving, stakeholder engagement, and clear written/verbal communication, with people leadership, coaching, and business development responsibilities. Required Qualifications
- 6+ years’ experience in consulting, advisory, or professional services, or relevant industry experience where you have worked in an advisory or stakeholder-facing role to deliver structured recommendations
- Demonstrated history of working with senior stakeholders to influence, advise, and gain alignment on technology priorities
- Strong understanding of core technology and enterprise architecture concepts (e.g. Mobility, Cloud, Digital)
- Understanding of how technology functions are structured and the services they provide (IT operations, ITIL/ITSM)
- Experience with a range of enterprise technology systems and solutions (ERP/HRIS/FMIS/CRM/BI) including ability to assess trade-offs
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems and present advice to Steering Committees, Exec Teams, and Boards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience designing and facilitating workshops with broad stakeholder groups
