Advisory Manager

Job Summary
Develop people by encouraging independent thinking, delegate work across all staff levels, and provide performance feedback and training for senior and supervisor roles. Supervise several low-to-moderate complexity advisory engagements while managing time and resources, and use technology to enhance service delivery and efficiency. Identify industry trends relevant to government and non-profit sectors, collaborate on engagement strategies, and maintain cooperative relationships with internal teams and client management. Review advisory work and financial statements for compliance, control billing plans, and present engagement results to client leadership. Actively participate in business development, represent the firm at community functions and conferences, and work toward obtaining relevant professional certifications.
Required Qualifications
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting, and/or an undergraduate or graduate degree with sufficient coursework to qualify to become licensed as a CPA
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting
- Must have spent at least 1 year as an Advisory Supervisor
- Demonstrated a high degree of technical knowledge
- Exhibited a strong emphasis on communication and networking
- Demonstrated strong time-management skills
- A strong dedication to teamwork, leadership, and client service
- Proven ability to effectively supervise, train, and develop people
- Integrity within the professional environment
- Ability to adapt to work schedule and job requirements, including some travel and hours beyond the standard workday as needed
- Reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Government and non-profit experience preferred
- CPA preferred, other relevant certifications (e.g., CGFM, CFE, CITP) encouraged
