Job Summary
Advisory Intern role focused on learning and applying accounting standards and technical financial statement preparation skills under close coaching. Responsibilities include assisting with preparation, compilation, and review assignments; observing client meetings and correspondence; developing professional client communication; importing client trial balance using Trial Balance software within Engagement; pulling reports and ledgers from client systems; reading and interpreting client ledgers; identifying issues and supporting resolution; posting journal entries; linking trial balance to financial statements within Engagement; updating note disclosures to reflect current year financial statements; maintaining an audit trail of documentation used to support conclusions; assisting on varying sections of audits and AUP engagements; receptive to feedback and applying it; promoting the Firm with clients and at events; performing other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of accounting (debits and credits)
- Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Ability to learn and use accounting software
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- In process to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; expected graduation December 2026 or May 2027
