Job Summary
Advisor Technical Analyst - MMIS / Medicaid Pharmacy responsible for hands-on technical analysis, SQL development, data validation, integration support, and system troubleshooting across MMIS Medicaid Pharmacy domains. Collaborates with BAs, Configuration Analysts, conversion teams, and QA to ensure solutions are technically sound, data-driven, scalable, and aligned with SDLC. Activities include designing and validating technical specifications, data mappings, interface validation (including X12 EDI), data loads and reconciliation, testing (SIT/UAT/parallel), deployment support, and mentoring junior analysts. The role emphasizes technical leadership, documentation of data flows and dependencies, feasibility analysis, and delivering actionable technical insights in a healthcare/Medicaid context. Fully remote options are available for continental US locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience as a Technical Analyst, Data Analyst, or Healthcare Systems Analyst
- Advanced SQL skills (complex joins, transformations, large datasets, stored procedures)
- Experience supporting MMIS, Medicaid, or Medicaid Pharmacy systems
- Strong understanding of healthcare data and Medicaid domains (Member, Provider, Claims, Pharmacy, Finance, Care Management)
- Experience with data analysis, troubleshooting, and validating technical outputs
- Experience working in SDLC and Agile delivery environments
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
