Advisor Social Cohesion, Peacebuilding and Security Risk Management (m/f)

Job Summary
Technical Advisor/Senior-level role providing advisory support to social cohesion and peacebuilding in Northern Mozambique. Responsibilities include designing and implementing outputs related to conflict analysis, peacebuilding approaches, workshop/trainings, development and monitoring of Terms of Reference and other contract documents, coordinating with partners and donors, liaising with sector teams and authorities, and contributing to crisis management and security risk analyses. The role requires postgraduate education, extensive field experience with international organisations, and fluency in Portuguese and English. The position is based in Pemba, Cabo Delgado, Mozambique, and comprises two 50% advisory components: Social Cohesion/Peacebuilding (50%) and Security Risk Management (50%).
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree (master’s or equivalent) in political or social sciences or another field related to the assignment
- At least 7 years of general professional experience with international organisations, NGOs or related institutions on peace and security
- At least 5 years of experience in an advisory role
- At least 3 years of experience in displacement context
- At least 2 years of experience in security-related topics or security risk management
- Excellent command of Portuguese and English (C1/C2)
- Experience collaborating with UN agencies or BMZ-funded projects is an asset
