Job Summary
Advisor focused on SHE&S upstream regulatory and safety responsibilities, including identifying applicable SH&E, OSHA, EPA, DOT, and DHS regulations; conducting compliance audits; leading training and train-the-trainer sessions; advising facilities during regulatory interactions; investigating incidents, determining root causes, and coordinating corrective actions; overseeing environmental risk assessments, spill responses, and PSM-related activities; supporting DOT and fleet safety programs; and facilitating environmental engagement and compliance across facilities while maintaining relationships with regulatory agencies. Requires strong knowledge of federal and state safety/environmental laws, ability to travel up to 25%, and capability to operate in a drug-free workplace with a US driver’s license; proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor's degree preferred in safety, environmental science, or related field
- Professional certification in safety or environmental field preferred; willingness to obtain professional certifications
- Minimum of 5 years work experience
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Must be able to type on a computer for extended periods
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to work outdoors in a wide range of temperatures and weather conditions
- Must have a US driver's license and wearable PPE
- Must be able to wear respirator and be physically fit to do so
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel)
