Advisor, Medical within AbbVie’s Brand Medical Strategies and Functional Plan leads medical strategy and evidence-generation activities for allocated brands/indications, including defining medical imperatives, identifying evidence gaps, and developing local study plans. Acts as a key medical liaison within the affiliate and cross-functional teams (Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, CEX, Market Access) and leads or contributes to urgent initiatives (crisis/risk management, label updates, patient complaints, market access). Develops local clinical study/evidence-generation plans and serves as local medical study lead through concept, protocol design, statistical plans, and study execution, collaborating with CSM or Evidence Solution. Creates medical and scientific content for field medical education and external/internal communication, ensures governance and compliance in review of materials, and maintains high-quality scientific knowledge management. Builds and sustains relationships with external experts and academic organizations, identifying suitable collaborators for collaborative studies and Investigator Initiated Studies, while supporting affiliate medical and clinical activities across functions.
