Advisor - Jazz Band (BMS)

Direct and supervise all Jazz Band activities, including rehearsals, performances, and school-sanctioned events. Establish behavior standards, create after-school rehearsal schedules, and complete building permits. Maintain attendance records, manage music inventory, and select appropriate literature for students. Conduct performances daily, teach improvisation and ensemble skills, and coordinate concerts with other music staff. Chaperone Central District, All-State, and MICCA events while ensuring facility safety. Preferably a current Bellingham Memorial School teaching staff member with jazz improvisation experience.
