Job Summary
College Advisor provides one-on-one and small-group advising to high school students and families through the college planning process, including goal setting, test prep planning, college exploration, applications, and scholarships. The role is part-time, hourly, with student-based incentives, and is remote-first with occasional in-person sessions or events. Requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to work independently within Class 101’s structured curriculum; experience with teens and families is essential. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Compensation includes $25/hour plus incentives and opportunities for growth; location is Irving, TX with a remote-heavy schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with teens, families, or in education, coaching, advising, or youth programs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with both students and parents
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple students
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote-first environment
- Willingness to learn and follow a structured advising curriculum and systems
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (education, counseling, psychology, or related field a plus)
