Job Summary
Provide HSE support to Tropicana site, liaising with leaders and crews to enable safe, compliant delivery. Implement and ensure compliance with the HSEQ Management Plan; liaise with clients on WHS activities and lead/lag indicators; assist with accident/incident investigations; facilitate risk assessments to control and reduce risks; complete monthly safety reporting and daily inputs into the event management system; maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement. Requires surface mining experience, a tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, knowledge of the Mines Safety Inspection Act WA, experience in HSEQ management systems and implementing HSEQ Management Plan deliverables, ICAM qualification, strong leadership and communication, high computer literacy, Senior First Aid, and a current WA C-class driver’s licence.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety
- Previous surface mining experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of the Mines Safety Inspection Act (WA)
- Experience in HSEQ management systems and the ability to implement HSEQ Management Plan deliverables
- Qualification in incident investigation methodology, such as ICAM
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and engagement skills
- High level of computer literacy
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Current Manual “C” Class WA Driver’s Licence
