Job Summary
Increase sales and grow territory assets by calling on financial advisors, conducting seminar presentations, and building deep relationships with strategic partners and registered representatives. Develop and implement territory business plans in partnership with internal sales support while effectively leveraging data and technology to capture market share. Provide marketing support and customer service to advisors, regularly update them on industry trends, and anticipate client needs. Adhere to all compliance regulations and guidelines, including proper licensing and approved marketing materials. Complete administrative tasks such as updating CRM and expense reporting in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably business, economics, finance, sales, or marketing (or equivalent on-the-job experience)
- Must be fully licensed (Series 7, Series 63)
- Must be able and willing to travel 80% of the time
- A minimum of five years of external wholesaling experience is preferred
- The ability to build strong relationships with a proven track record of working effectively as an individual contributor as well as a team player
- A confident public speaker, great at making presentations
- Coachable
- Impeccable integrity and sound judgment
- A keen awareness of the industry as a whole: the competition, market dynamics, industry trends and customer needs
- A sincere drive to achieve
- Resourcefulness and superior problem-solving skills, knowing how to get results
Desired Qualifications
- Existing relationships with advisors and centers of influence in the territory
- A demonstrated track record of success in the assigned broker dealer firms
- Additional industry designations (i.e., CIMA, CFA)
