Job Summary
Establish and activate high-profile national fundraising initiatives throughout the Phoenix area, including St. Jude Dream Home campaigns, radiothons, and signature programs. Recruit volunteers, sponsors, and community partners to implement best practices, ensure compliance, and grow existing relationships through face-to-face interaction and various communication channels. Build and maintain relationships with media partners and develop multiple high-value revenue-producing events with growth rates assigned by leadership. Prepare written correspondence, maintain accurate event records, and conduct prospect research to cultivate Dream Home and Radiothon donors. Work in collaboration with internal teams to solicit donors and increase brand awareness. Requires five years of relevant fundraising experience, a valid driver's license, and 15-20% travel including evening and weekend commitments during key campaigns. This role supports the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years of relevant experience in fundraising, development, customer service, or sales
- Demonstrated relationship management success and proven experience and success in peer-to-peer fundraising
- Ability to relate to donors and volunteers from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and public speaking skills
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated negotiating and listening skills
- Donor/customer-oriented with excellent writing, telephone, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and fundraising software
- Demonstrates clear communication and the ability to influence others
- Ability to travel frequently within the Phoenix territory area by supporting events, volunteers, and partners in the assigned territory
- Involves travel 15%-20%, including regular evening and weekend commitments during key campaign periods and fundraising events
- Periodic visits to Memphis for enterprise, divisional, or donor events (on average 4-6 times annually) based on business needs
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required for this role
