Job Summary
Advertising Sales Associate internship/volunteer opportunity with Felix Magazine (Luxe Media, LLC) offering 20% sales commission. In this inside sales role, you will research and cold call prospective advertisers (national and regional), make a high volume of outbound calls (100+ per day), build relationships with prospects and current accounts, articulate the magazine’s brand to match advertising partners, speak with industry professionals, develop advertising proposals, create custom advertising and marketing packages, manage client data, and strive to meet weekly/monthly quotas. Requires at least a BA/BS in journalism or sales & marketing, 3 years of sales experience, self-motivation, interview-ready communication skills, proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel, and a commitment to 2-3 days per week for 3 months.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in journalism, or sales & marketing
- 3 years of sales experience
- Must commit to 2-3 days a week for 3 months
- Excellent command of the English language
- Excellent phone and communication skills
- Comfort making cold calls
- Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel
