Job Summary
Manage development, testing, and maintenance of Natural Habitat Adventures' internal and external online gear stores while building reporting on sales, purchasing, costs, and inventory. Analyze gear data to identify trends that support purchasing, forecasting, and budget decisions, then execute technology and process improvements for the gear program. Coordinate with vendors on product specifications, samples, and delivery timelines, and reconcile monthly credit card charges and vendor invoices. Support product research, procurement, pricing, and sustainability reviews, and maintain gear-related web content and operational documentation. Provide operational backup to the Director of Adventure Gear and assist with organizing and shipping gear as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience in e-commerce, product development, purchasing, project management, merchandising or business operations
- Experience working with and troubleshooting e-commerce platforms
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Comfortable learning new technology and working with technical partners
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong project and time management skills
- Able to independently manage assigned work, solve problems and meet deadlines
- Self-sufficient, decisive, and proactive in problem-solving and project management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a passion for delivering a remarkable guest experience
- Collaborative and supportive, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external vendors
- Committed to sustainability and environmentally responsible purchasing practices
- Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for regular in-office attendance
- Must be available for hybrid work schedule
- Must be available for at least 50% of the workweek on-site
- Must be available for one annual company-wide, in-person staff week
- Must be available for one additional in-office week each year scheduled by their department
- Must work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM MT
- Must work Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Must be able to work additional hours as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with outdoor gear, branded merchandise or custom product development preferred
- Experience with FileMaker-based systems preferred
