Job Summary
The FUSE Executive Fellow will develop a countywide strategy to advance renewable energy affordability and regulatory engagement for Los Angeles County, embedding in the Chief Sustainability Office to lead projects that improve energy access and policy coordination. Core responsibilities include conducting landscape analyses of state regulatory proceedings, developing recommendations and policy positions, tracking engagement opportunities, drafting intervenor comments, researching emerging energy technologies, assessing internal permitting processes, and building cross-department coordination and coalitions with external regulators, industry experts, and community partners. The role requires senior-level expertise in organizational transformation, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement to strengthen the County’s ability to influence energy policy, align internal operations, and expand access to affordable, reliable clean energy across diverse communities.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in organizational transformation and change management
- Synthesizes complex information into clear and concise recommendations and action-oriented implementation plans
- Develops and effectively implements both strategic and operational project management plans
- Generates innovative, data-driven, and result-oriented solutions to complex challenges
- Respond quickly to changing ideas, responsibilities, expectations, trends, strategies, and other processes
- Communicates effectively verbally and in writing and excels in active listening and conversing
- Fosters collaboration across multiple constituencies to support more effective decision-making
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, both inside and outside of government, particularly community-based relationships
- Embraces differing viewpoints and implements strategies to find common ground, demonstrating confidence and professional diplomacy while effectively interacting with individuals at all levels of various organizations
