Job Summary
Advancing Financial Adviser position for Old Mutual in Durban and surrounding areas (Durban, Richards Bay, Empangeni, Umhlatuzi and nearby towns) requiring Matric or equivalent, at least 12 months’ financial services experience as a Financial Adviser, and FAIS-related qualifications. The role expects a valid driver’s licence and own car, plus clear criminal and credit checks, computer literacy, excellent written and verbal communication, planning and organisational abilities, and the ability to collate, analyse and synthesise information. Key skills include consultative selling, customer service and understanding, identifying customer needs and sales opportunities, strategic selling, relationship building, and strong interpersonal and business acumen with resilience and grit to translate customer engagements into sales.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of Matric or equivalent
- A minimum 12 months’ financial services experience as a Financial Adviser
- A minimum of Long-term Insurance Class of Business completion
- Completion of additional FAIS requirements such as Investments Class of Business, the Regulatory Examination 5 (RE5), an FSCA-approved qualification will be advantageous
- A valid driver’s licence and own car
- A clear criminal and credit check
- Proven computer literacy
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Sound planning and organising abilities
- Ability to collate, analyse and synthesise information
