Job Summary
Coordinate event logistics, manage vendor relationships, and oversee fundraising activities including donor solicitations and stewardship. Maintain donor and prospect records in the Little Green Light CRM, conduct prospect research, and prepare relationship maps to support revenue generation. Assist with communications projects such as social media, print materials, and digital appeals, while tracking the department budget and preparing institutional funding proposals. Manage a year-round calendar of events and communicate with donors, prospects, and stakeholders via phone, email, and mail. Work with the Director of Advancement to ensure efficient day-to-day operations and maintain compliance with organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a nonprofit organization, with demonstrated success in a fundraising and event planning role
- Understanding of fundraising and event planning best practices
- Familiarity with donor databases (Little Green Light or similar)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; ability to effectively and concisely present information and respond to questions from the general public, funding partners, and other donors/stakeholders
- Ability to work both independently without close oversight, but also a team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside MHP
- Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Must possess basic computer skills to perform job duties and the ability to learn software applications relevant to the position
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given and standard accepted practices
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities concurrently and meet deadlines
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
