Job Summary
Advanced Weapons Acquisition Program Analyst, SME supporting a US Air Force prime contract. Responsible for budget preparation and defense oversight, program execution, and recommendations on requirements, acquisition strategies, and milestone decisions. Provides honest broker assessments of programs approaching milestones, analyzes program trends, identifies issues, and makes recommendations on funding allocation, program goals, objectives, and schedules. Maintains historical weapon program documentation, develops briefings and training materials, and supports legislative processes, reviews MDR/FOIA requests, and contributes to Acquisition Strategy Panels and GAO reports. Requires deep understanding of Air Force requirements development, transitioning technologies from lab to program, and experience with advanced weapons technology integration.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
- Master’s degree in a Business, Finance or Engineering discipline
- 10+ years of acquisition experience in a System Program Office and/or Air Force Headquarters
- 5+ years’ experience working on or directly supporting advanced weapons technology efforts involving the integration of new capabilities into existing platforms
- Must have a strong understanding of the Air Force requirements development process
- Must have a strong understanding of the various organizations involved in the decision-making process for what technologies are needed to address current and emerging threats
- Must have a strong background in the process for transitioning a technology from the lab environment to an executing program
