Job Summary
Technical expert to customers in Milliken’s plastic high-performance additives, troubleshooting technical issues on-site, demonstrating product capabilities, and proposing technical solutions. Serve as Milliken PA representative in technical proposals, provide customer training, build deep customer relationships, understand client needs for R&D input, and collaborate across sales, marketing, and global TS&D teams. Attend industry trade shows and technical meetings to promote Milliken PA products; support sales with technical training and key account management; collaborate with SH PA and regional labs on TSR projects; participate in new applications development with sales/marketing; assist R&D and NPD teams with market insights and knowledge sharing within the global technical community; continuously update knowledge on polyolefin process and plastics processing technologies and monitor competitive information. Requires a Bachelor or Master degree in a related field, 5+ years in petrochemical/polymer/plastics, independent yet collaborative work style, and fluent English; located in Shanghai office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor, Master degree preferred in Polymer Science and Engineering or Material Science, chemistry or another related field
- 5+ years of technical service, production or R&D in petrochemical, polymer or plastics
- Experience with polyolefin plant including polymerization, extrusion & pelleting is preferred
- Fluent in English and strong written/verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Willingness to contribute to global TS&D and knowledge sharing
