Job Summary
Provide programmatic, technical, and analytical support to the Missile Defense Agency test team, overseeing all phases of the test lifecycle including flight, ground, hardware-in-the-loop, and operational events. Execute extensive testing for complex weapon systems programs, managing planning and readiness activities per approved test issuances. Lead teams to solve analysis and engineering problems while developing courses of action for senior leadership and test decision forums. Create and apply process improvement strategies, resolve significant technical matters, and produce detailed Government reporting and documentation for Congressional and GAO inquiries. Requires a Master's in engineering or equivalent experience, Secret to TS/SCI clearance, and ability to travel frequently.
Required Qualifications
- MS in an engineering field
- BS in an engineering field with five years of additional relevant experience
- 10 years relevant experience
- Secret to TS/SCI clearance
- Active Secret security clearance
- Ability to lead and execute extensive testing
- Ability to apply in-depth technical and theoretical DoD knowledge of developmental and operational testing
- Ability to apply system engineering principles
- Ability to analyze and integrate complex data
- Ability to establish and optimize priorities and manage planning and readiness activities of MDS test events
- Ability to provide expertise in support of element level scenario development, test design, test planning, and/or test execution
- Ability to create and apply process improvement, strategic planning skills and resolve significant/controversial technical matters
- Ability to explain technical information
- Exceptional technical writing and Government reporting/documentation skills
- Ability to work independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks to solve analysis/engineering problems
- Ability to provide daily supervision and direction to support teams
- Travel is required
