Job Summary
Advanced Technician performs vehicle repair and maintenance per repair orders, communicates with Parts Department and Service Advisors, diagnoses malfunctions, conducts multi-point inspections to ensure safety and reliability, documents work on each vehicle, maintains tool inventory, stays current with factory bulletins and participates in factory-sponsored training, and provides an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty. Positioned at AutoNation Chevrolet South Clearwater, this role supports customer service and operational efficiency, with opportunities for career growth into roles such as Master-Certified Technician or Service Management. The team collaborates with Customers, Service Advisors, and Managers to deliver quality vehicle care and a positive customer experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician
- Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs)
- Attention to detail
- Organization and follow-up skills
- Valid in-state driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record
