Job Summary
Advanced Systems Engineer at Philips leading full system-level product releases in medical imaging. Responsible for technical leadership, system-level trade-off analyses (power vs. thermal, dose vs. image quality, cost vs. margin), translating user and business needs into detailed product requirements, system decomposition down to hardware components with traceability, managing system integration and verification, and coordinating design reviews. Drives multi-disciplinary collaboration with component suppliers (tube, detector, generator) and with system test, clinical applications, and service teams to ensure field performance. Requires 8–12 years of hardware system engineering experience in medical imaging and a Master’s/PhD in a related field; office/onsite work at Philips facilities with in-person presence at least 3 days per week in Shenyang, China.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical, computer science, automation or related field (Bachelor’s with exceptional experience considered)
- Minimum 8–12 years of hands‐on hardware system engineering experience in medical imaging (CT, MRI, PET‐CT, X‐ray) or similar complex electromechanical systems
- Proven track record of leading technical reviews and guiding multi‐disciplinary teams
- Fluent in English (technical documentation and global collaboration)
- Familiarity with system modeling languages (SysML) or requirements management tools (DOORS, Jama)
- Prior experience in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFx for high‐volume medical systems
- Ability to communicate complex data to senior management
