Job Summary

Advanced Systems Engineer sought to drive and technically anchor technical proposals in Air & Land Projects within R&D. You will collaborate with Senior Systems Engineers and Solution Architects to build robust technical baselines for international proposals, progress from supporting bids to independently leading multi-disciplinary proposals, and integrate complex electronic warfare hardware, software, and sensors (e.g., Radar Warning Receivers, Missile Warning, Laser Warning) with related actuation and dispenser systems. The role requires risk and estimation management, and a capacity to translate customer needs into mature engineering concepts across EW portfolios, with a growing ownership of proposals from inception to delivery. Fluent English is required; Danish is an advantage. The position is based on Terma’s international environment and includes ongoing professional development, cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on secure, high-technology defense solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Systems Engineering, or another highly relevant technical field
  • Solid, proven experience as a Systems Engineer, Technical Lead, or specialized Bid/Proposal Engineer within the international or European aerospace and defense industry
  • Domain Expertise: Strong knowledge—or proven capability to master—complex aircraft technologies spanning Electronic Warfare (EW), Self-Protection Systems (SPS), aerostructures, weapon/pylon interfaces, and airborne sensors
  • Platform Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of military aircraft architecture (including fighter jet and helicopter platforms), LRUs, and HW-SW-mechanical integration
  • Standards & Frameworks: Familiarity with aerospace/defense standards (e.g., MIL-STD, ARINC, DO-178/DO-254) is a distinct advantage
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Systems Engineering, or another highly relevant technical field
  • Industry Experience: Solid, proven experience as a Systems Engineer, Technical Lead, or specialized Bid/Proposal Engineer within the international or European aerospace and defense industry
  • Fluency in English at a professional level; Danish is an advantage

Desired Qualifications
