Job Summary
Design, implement, and deploy next-generation Strategic Weapon Systems using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and digital engineering practices. Develop and maintain SysML models, including behavioral, structural, and requirements diagrams, while applying MBSE to architect complex systems through functional decomposition, interface definition, and trade study analysis. Manage requirements using tools like DOORS and integrate them with system models within DoDAF or similar architecture frameworks to support digital engineering initiatives. This role involves working as a cross-functional team member on Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications projects. The position requires a U.S. citizen with a Secret security clearance and a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related field.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
- 5+ years of job-related experience
- Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- U.S. Government security investigation eligibility
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
- Hands-on experience with industry-leading MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler
- Ability to develop and maintain SysML models, including behavioral, structural, and requirements diagrams
- Experience applying MBSE to architect complex systems, including functional decomposition, interface definition, and trade study analysis
- Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards with an MBSE-first mindset
- Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, DOORS Next Generation) and their integration with system models
- Experience working within DoDAF or similar architecture frameworks to support digital engineering initiatives
