Job Summary
Advanced System Engineer responsible for design for reliability (DfR) and reliability verification for medical imaging/high-end equipment. Lead reliability analyses (FMEA, FTA, FMECA), define quality targets, and perform ALT/HALT life-boundary validation, environmental testing, and Reliability Qualification Tests (RQT) tailored to clinical usage profiles. Drive root-cause analysis for reliability issues, develop CT failure databases and failure models, and extend DFMEA results to production and service. Collaborate across electrical, mechanical, software, and clinical teams; ensure transfer of reliability insights to manufacturing and field support. Office-based in-person work at least 3 days per week; onsite role with full-time presence in Philips/related facilities. Philips is an equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering; Minimum 5 years reliability engineering experience in high-end equipment, medical devices, or automotive electronics; hands-on reliability during development of large electromechanical systems (e.g., CT, MRI, PET-CT, avionics, semiconductor equipment); knowledge of environmental & reliability test standards (GB/T 2423, IEC 60068-2, YY/T 0291 for medical imaging equipment)
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration; ability to independently write reliability test plans, reports, and failure analysis reports
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering
- Master’s/PhD preferred
- Minimum 5 years of reliability engineering experience in high-end equipment, medical devices, or automotive electronics
- Hands-on reliability experience during development of large electromechanical systems (e.g., CT, MRI, PET-CT, avionics, semiconductor equipment)
- Strong systems thinking and logical reasoning; ability to extract root causes from complex image artifacts
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration across electrical, mechanical, software, system engineers, and clinical experts
- Ability to independently write reliability test plans, reports, and failure analysis reports
- Knowledge of environmental & reliability test standards (GB/T 2423, IEC 60068-2, YY/T 0291)
