Job Summary

Advanced Specialist in Compliance & Operations within the Regulation Team. Deliver and supervise an end-to-end appeals process for Pearson qualifications (e.g., GCSEs, A levels, BTECs, ELL) to ensure regulatory compliance. Process a high-volume caseload, maintain complete records, and contribute to improvements, training, and regulatory responses. Support appeal hearings, represent Pearson at panels, and provide data, reports, and guidance to internal stakeholders. Build relationships with examiners and internal teams, communicate clearly in English, and work in a hybrid setup with approximately one day per week in the London office. Requires degree-level education, knowledge of Ofqual conditions, qualification design and awarding, and strong IT and communication skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Education to degree level, or above, or equivalent
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Ofqual General Conditions of Recognition
  • Knowledge of qualification design, development, delivery, assessment and awarding
  • Experience of working collaboratively to successfully deliver a fully compliant process
  • IT literate; Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience of corresponding with customers and members of the public
